Seminars in Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery is a scientific journal that publishes material pertaining to adult cardiac surgery, general thoracic surgery, and congenital cardiac surgery, including heart and lung transplantation and mechanical circulatory support. We accept manuscript submissions that describe clinical and translational research and observations in these fields, including reports of novel procedures and unusual case series that add value and lend support to the current literature. In addition, Seminars also solicits material from authorities in these phases of cardiothoracic surgery to prepare manuscripts discussing fundamental and state-of-the-art issues and questions that will be of interest to our readers. Our mission is to keep the practicing surgeon up-to-date and well-informed of evolving trends and requirements of patients in need of adult and congenital cardiac and general thoracic treatment and care.
