Aims & Scope

In scope, the journal encompasses all aspects of research into sediments and sedimentary rocks at all spatial and temporal scales.

Sedimentary Geology aims to provide a forum for the publication of high-quality research papers of general interest across the entire range of subjects falling under the umbrella of sedimentary geology, from techniques of sediment analysis to geodynamical aspects of sedimentary-basin evolution.

Papers submitted to Sedimentary Geology should place the research in a broad context so that it is of interest to the diverse, international readership of the journal. Thus, papers that focus solely on a local theme or area will not be accepted for publication.
