Avril  Horne

Dr Avril Horne is a research fellow in the Department of Infrastructure Engineering at the University of Melbourne. She has worked on a range of water resource policy and management projects. Her research focusses on decision support systems for the management of environmental water, including release and trade decisions. She was an assistant director and the Australian Consumer and Competition Commission involved in the development of water trade rules for the Murray Darling Basin. In her previous role as a consultant, she has managed a range of environmental flow projects and water resource assessment projects. She was involved in the development of hydrological indictors to map flow impacts across Victoria, Australia.
