Angus Webb

Dr Angus Webb is a Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Infrastructure Engineering at the University of Melbourne. Angus’ research focuses on landscapes scale impacts of human-induced disturbances on freshwater ecosystems. In particular, he is leading large-scale monitoring programs in the Murray-Darling Basin to evaluate the effects of environmental flows delivered under the Australian Government’s ‘Basin Plan’ initiative. He also pioneered a multiple-lines-of-evidence approach to evaluating ecological responses to flow degradation and restoration that combines literature analysis, formal elicitation of expert opinions, and Bayesian analysis of large-scale monitoring data. He has authored 39 journal papers, conference papers, book chapters, and published reports on various aspects of environmental flows science and management.
